PCS9001 ON-SITE INSTRUMENT TRAINING

This course presents a combination of practical information
and hands-on experiences covering proper installation,
calibration, and maintenance of electronic instruments.
Instrumentation covered may include any and all
instruments currently used in your process plant.
Instruments included, but not limited to any make/model:

  • differential pressure flowmeters

  • magnetic flowmeters

  • mass flowmeters

  • vortex shedding

  • ultrasonic flowmeters

  • level transmitters

  • pressure transmitters

  • temperature transmitters

  • valve positioners

PCS1001 PROCESS CONTROL TECHNOLOGY

Process Control Technology is a fundamental introduction to a broad scope of instrumentation and control issues. It is designed as a jump start for employees new to the plant control environment. Course topics include:

  • process control theory

  • ISA and SAMA symbols

  • transmitters and brand differences

  • test equipment

In addition to control issues, this course also covers flow, pressure, temperature, analytical and specialized instrumentation in the following areas: 

  • applications

  • installation

  • piping

  • calibration

  • trouble-shooting

  • field repair

FOX1001 VIDEOSPEC/MICROSPEC OVERVIEW

Videospec is the main operator interface to the process operation and control in the SPECTRUM system. This course offers a generalized overview of daily operation and maintenance. Instruction includes classroom lectures and hands-on exercises for:

  • process operation

  • trending

  • configuration

  • alarming

  • system management

  • maintenance

  • hardware fault analysis and mitigation

Microspec is the main process control component of the SPECTRUM system. Instruction includes classroom lectures and hands-on exercises for:

  • configuration

  • maintenance procedures

  • fault analysis

  • field repair

FOXNET communication management, configuration and maintenance are covered as needed. Also, other SPECTRUM I/O devices such as UIO, UFM, FIO, NCM, CCM, AIM, SPECTRUM Slave Gateway and SPECTRUM Master Gateway are covered as requested.

FOX2001 MULTISTATION OVERVIEW

Multistation is a widely used process control computer and operator interface  in the SPECTRUM system. This course offers a generalized overview of daily operation and maintenance. Instruction includes classroom lectures and hands-on exercises for:
  • monitoring process variables

  • controlling process variables

  • basic engineering functions

  • create and modify custom graphics

  • maintain the process control database

  • create and modify control programs

  • create and customize historical trends

  • build and modify the historian database

  • configure reports

  • isolate failures and configure replacements

  • perform required preventive maintenance

FOXNET communication management, configuration and maintenance are covered as needed. Also, other SPECTRUM I/O devices such as UCM, UIO, UFM, FIO, NCM, CCM, AIM, SPECTRUM Slave Gateway and SPECTRUM Master Gateway are covered as requested.

FOX3001 FOX 1/A PROCESS COMPUTER OVERVIEW
FOX 1/A is a process control computer and operator interface used as a standalone plant process controller or as part of a SPECTRUM system. This course offers a generalized overview of daily operation and maintenance. Instruction includes classroom lectures and hands-on exercises for:
  • monitoring process variables

  • controlling process variables

  • basic engineering functions

  • create and modify custom graphics

  • maintain the process control database

  • create and modify control programs

  • create and customize historical trends

  • build and modify the historian database

  • configure reports

  • isolate failures and configure replacements

  • perform required preventive maintenance

FOXNET communication management, configuration and maintenance are covered as needed. Also, other I/O devices such as AMU and DMU as well as SPECTRUM UCM, UIO, UFM, FIO, NCM, CCM, AIM, SPECTRUM Slave Gateway and SPECTRUM Master Gateway are covered as requested.
